harvey arrestGREENVILLE, Ky. (11/21/17) — A Muhlenberg County man faces numerous charges after police and social services investigated today a report of drugs being used in the presence of children.

Muhlenberg County Deputy Sheriff Alex Piper reported finding a controlled substance at the residence of 36-year-old Tobias Harvey. Police said when Piper attempted to take Harvey into custody, Harvey turned on Piper and attempted to remove Piper’s service weapon.

Harvey was charged with third-degree assault/police officer, disarming a police officer, resisting arrest, tampering with physical evidence, trafficking in marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Harvey is being held in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center

Muhlenberg EMS, Greenville Fire Department and the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force assisted at the scene.
