Radiology You Cant Outgive GodGREENVILLE, Ky. (12/4/17) – During this season of giving, Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital conducted a food drive to benefit Hope2All Food Bank in Drakesboro, which continues through Dec. 8.

On Friday, volunteers from Hope2All judged a food display contest between several departments in the hospital. There were more than 2,400 items donated as part of the seven uniquely themed food displays.

Radiology was the winning department with a nativity scene display titled “You Can’t OUTGIVE God” made up of 777 food items.

Ed Health, CEO of OHMCH, said the staff had fun with the display contest.

“One of our core commitments at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital is teamwork, and that is what has made this food drive so successful,” said Health. “The displays were really creative and at the same time supported our mission to improve the health of our community.”

OHMCH is also selling long sleeve T-shirts with all proceeds going directly to Hope2All. So far, nearly $2,700 has been raised through the efforts and will continue through the month of December.

The EMS crew will be hosting a “Fill the Ambulance” event from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7 at Kroger to allow the entire community an opportunity to donate food and household items that will be delivered to Hope2All and distributed in food boxes to over 800 Muhlenberg County families per month.

Jessica Latham, controller at OHMCH and Liaison Chair for the Gives Campaign was honored to be part of these efforts.

“It has been a truly a humbling experience to partner with the Hope2All Food Bank to help so many families here in our community,” said Latham. “We look forward to building this partnership for years to come.”
