CENTRAL CITY, Ky. (1/2/18) — Police nabbed a woman driving a vehicle linked to a missing juvenile Dec. 30 in Central City.
Kentucky State Police said Trooper Justin Cornett saw a white 2006 Ford Explorer at 5:57 p.m. traveling east on the Western Kentucky Parkway at a high rate of speed. The vehicle plates had been entered into a national database linking it to a search for a missing 17-year-old.
KSP said Cornett stopped the vehicle and discovered the missing juvenile inside along with marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Central City Police assisted on the scene.
The juvenile was transported to Warren County Juvenile Detention Center in Bowling Green.
KSP charged Nicolette Alamares, 19 of San Antonio, Texas with speeding 26 MPH or more over the limit, reckless driving, second-degree wanton endangerment, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs – with aggravated circumstances – first offense, second-degree unlawful transaction with a minor, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, failure to or improper signal and improper use of left lane over taking vehicle.
Alamares is being held in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
