scholarship 300MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (7/20/18) — Three Muhlenberg County students received college scholarships from Kentucky Farm Bureau. In partnership with County Farm Bureaus, the Kentucky Farm Bureau Education Foundation awarded $465,400 this year to deserving students from across the Commonwealth.
 
Jolyn Nicole Dorris was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from Muhlenberg County Farm Bureau. Dorris plans to attend the University of Louisville to pursue a degree in engineering. She is the daughter of Tim and RaVae Dorris of Dunmor.
 
Makenna Paige Gill also was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from Muhlenberg County Farm Bureau. She will attend Madisonville Community College to earn a degree in nursing. She is the daughter of Derek and Kennya Gill of Drakesboro.
 
Grace Phelps received a $1,000 scholarship from Kentucky Farm Bureau Federation. Phelps will attend Murray State University to earn a degree in nursing. She is the daughter of Carl and Tonya Phelps of Central City.
 
Farm Bureau scholarships, offered annually, are awarded to recipients who display the greatest levels of academic excellence, involvement in extracurricular activities, leadership abilities and financial need.
