fleming arrestBREMEN, Ky. (9/18/18) — After complaints of a suspicious vehicle in the Bremen area, Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s deputies charged a 34-year-old man with not only meth possession but also theft related to several area burglaries.

MCSO said Deputy Mike Robinson responded Sept. 12 to the complaint and located a green 2005 Chevy pickup on Billy Drake Road matching the description of the reported vehicle. As Robinson was making contact with Jonathan Fleming, Deputy Chris Flener arrived and observed syringes lying in the driver’s seat of the vehicle.

When Robinson searched Fleming, he discovered 3 grams of what appeared to be methamphetamine in Fleming’s pocket. After Fleming was taken into custody, deputies discovered several items believed to have been stolen during several area burglaries, said authorities.

MCSO said Robinson later obtained a search warrant for a camper Fleming had access to located at 310 Gishton Road. There, Robinson, MCSO Sgt. Terry Vick, Constable Denny Blythe and Constable Tim Franklin discovered more items believed to have been stolen.

Fleming was charged with possession of a controlled substance/meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, receiving stolen property greater than $500 and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
