arrested handcuffs blue 300GREENVILLE, Ky. (10/6/18) — A 31-year-old Greenville woman was charged with drug offenses after police responded to the report of a 2-year-old child walking on North Main Street.

Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Office and Greenville Police Department received a complaint Monday of a child walking in the area of 332 North Main St., Greenville. When Deputy Jeremy Rose arrived, they found the child’s mother, Christina Bruce, and discerned she smelled of marijuana, said MCSO.

Police contacted Social Services, said MCSO spokesman Deputy Chris Flener. Officers and Social Services searched Bruce’s residence and located marijuana, drug paraphernalia and various pills.

MCSO charged Bruce with possession of a controlled substance/drug unspecified – first offense, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia – buy/possess. GPD also charged Bruce in reference to the child being unattended, said authorities.

She was lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center but was not listed on the jail inmate roster today.
