watkins arrestSOUTH CARROLLTON, Ky. (12/11/18) — A Central City man was jailed after police charged him on outstanding warrants and finding him with more than 2 grams of meth.

Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force and Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s deputies located the man inside a vehicle at a South Carrollton residence at 10:22 a.m. today on U.S. 431N.

PNTC said officers made contact with Joey E. Watkins, 33 of Central when he was leaving the residence. After MCSO charged him on multiple warrants, meth, marijuana and multiple pieces of counterfeit money were discovered.

PNTC charged Watkins with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance/meth, trafficking in marijuana less than 8 ounces and first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. He is being held in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
