massey arrestBROWDER, Ky. (2/6/19) — A Browder man has been charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of counterfeit money after an investigation that led from a traffic stop to a residence.

Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force said an officer stopped the vehicle Tuesday in Drakesboro and discovered 31-year-old Waylon Massey was in possession of meth, marijuana and more than $3,000 cash. Further investigation by PNTF and Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Office led to a search of the Exit Road, Browder residence, where Massey was staying. There, they located several counterfeit $100 bills.

PNTF charged Massey with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance/methamphetamine – more than 2 grams – first offense, possession of marijuana, criminal possession of a forged instrument and tampering with physical evidence. MCSO also charged Massey on a failure to appear warrant.

Massey is being held in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
