Road workMUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (3/22/19) — A portion of Kentucky 973 in southern Muhlenberg County will be closed as crews clear a landslide on the road.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans daytime closures along a section of Kentucky 973 starting Monday, March 25. The crew will be clearing trees along the slide area and removing earth and rock displaced by the slide.

To facilitate the required work, Kentucky 973 will be closed during daylight hours just west of U.S. 431 at the Dunmor community between West Elm Street and U.S. 431.

The site will close between approximately 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. each day until the work is completed.  The roadway will reopen to traffic after the crew completes work for the day.

Due to the placement and use of heavy equipment required to facilitate this project, Kentucky 973 will have to be closed anytime the crew is working at the site.
