arrests vicksMUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (7/11/19) — A joint police investigation resulted in the arrests of a man and wife yesterday.

Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force said a multi-agency investigation found that 37-year-old Amber N. Vick of Cleaton dropped off a lotion bottle at Muhlenberg County Detention Center intended for Clifford Vick, 41 of Central City and jail officials determined it to be suspicious.

Jail staff contacted Detective Wade Shoemaker and the investigation revealed that Amber Vick had concealed two Suboxone tables and two glass vials of e-cigarette liquid inside the bottle of lotion, said PNTF. She was later charged at her home in Cleaton and Clifford Vick was served with two warrants at the jail.

Kentucky State Police DE/SI West and Central City Police also assisted PNTF and jail investigators in the arrests.

Amber and Clifford were each charged with first-degree promoting contraband and second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

Both are being held in MCDC.
