drug arrest meth 02 300BREMEN, Ky. (7/29/19) — A Bremen woman was charged with assault and wanton endangerment when police were summoned to a Billy Drake Road residence last week after a report of child abuse.

Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Deputy Chris Flener said Sgt. Shannon Albro responded to the Bremen residence July 24 and spoke with a juvenile that claimed her mother had physically assaulted her and pointed a gun at her. After obtaining consent to search the premises, Albro located meth, glass pipes and a firearm in the mother’s purse.

Candace Sapp, 37, was charged with fourth-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of drug paraphernalia and first-degree possession of a controlled substance/meth.

Sapp was transported to Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
