gospel fest 300 x 300CENTRAL CITY, Ky. (8/8/19) — An end-of-summer tradition that draws gospel music lovers across the region to Central City is planned for Wednesday, Aug. 28.

The “Hope is Real — Gospelfest” will start at 6 p.m. in LuRay Park, 130 W. Broad St., Central City offering a free evening of gospel music from several popular musical performers.

Gospel music fans will not be disappointed as annual favorites, Jason Crabb along with Adam Crabb and Terah Crabb Penhollow, will be performing as well as The Hoppers and The Bowling Family and others.

There will be a free story time for children at 5:30 p.m. at the stage.

The evening is sponsored by First Southern National Bank, which has been hosting the free event for many years.

Concert T-shirts are available now at the Greenville and Central City First Southern National Bank locations for $10. The proceeds from T-shirt sales go to the Feed the Hungry program.
