CarrolltonSOUTH CARROLTON, Ky. (10/11/19) — A tossed bag led to the confiscation of a reported 90 grams of crystal meth at a South Carrollton residence today.

Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force reported serving a warrant 10:31 a.m. to 50-year-old Mark D. Fulton at 53 Spring St.

Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Office Detective Troy Gibson paid Fulton a visit following a joint investigation conducted over the past several months involving PNTF, MCSO and the DEA, PNTF Director David Thompson reported.

Gibson was serving a search warrant, when deputies made contact with Heather Baskerville, who had several warrants, PNTF reported. Fulton also was outside and “threw a bag of methamphetamine under a vehicle (nearby).”

Around 90 grams of crystal meth valued at $9,000 on the street was discovered after a search of the home, according to the report. Fulton was in possession of more than $1,000.

Fulton was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (meth-more than 2 grams), tampering with physical evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was taken to Muhlenberg County Jail, where he was listed as being held this evening, pending bond. Baskerville was charged with parole violation for another police agency.

Constables Tim Franklin and Ronald Hambrick along with Kentucky State Police assisted.
