drug investigation 04 300BELTON, Ky. (12/19/19) — Two Muhlenberg County men face drug-trafficking charges following an investigation in Belton today.

Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force, Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s deputies and probation/parole officers went to 91 Country Lane in Belton, according to a news release from PNTF Director David Thompson. Officers found methamphetamine at a building belonging to James B. Heath, 47 of Belton. Part of the meth was found at a nearby residence, where Heath was first located.

Authorities obtained a warrant to search the property, where officers reported seizing a handgun and nearly a quarter-pound of crystal meth valued at $12,000 on the street.

Heath was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (meth-more than 2 grams), convicted felon in possession of a firearm and drug paraphernalia.

Danny Dunn, 47 of Greenville, was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (meth-more than 2 grams) in relation to the investigation.

PNTF indicated the investigation is ongoing.
