Police LightCENTRAL CITY, Ky. (1/21/20) — A traffic stop in Central City resulted in arrests of Earlington and Madisonville women over the weekend.

According to Central City Police Department, Officer Justin Dockery stopped a 2018 Chrysler for a traffic violation 11:40 p.m. Saturday along West Reservoir Avenue.

The officer reported he saw a “white container” beneath the vehicle. After investigating the contents, they were determined to be “illegal narcotics.”

The driver, identified as 52-year-old Jeanette Nichols of Earlington, was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence and traffic violations. The passenger, listed as 55-year-old Linda Forbes of Madisonville, was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The women were taken to Muhlenberg County Jail.
