Bus to BizKENTUCKY (7/18/19) — The Kentucky Chamber Workforce Center is promoting a statewide campaign to engage businesses with K-12 students to increase career awareness and promote opportunities to the future workforce in the Oct. 2 “Bus to Business” event.

The Chamber’s highly visible campaign is seeking participating employers and schools in the business tours for students to complete hands-on work in learning activities and have conversations with business leaders about available career paths.

Scholarships are available for communities in need of assistance to rent school buses and provide lunch. The Chamber is asking companies to provide school funds of $100-$500.

Thus far, the Kentucky Chamber reports it has enrolled 30 applicants from schools and businesses, and will release a list of participating communities Aug. 16.

Jobs for America’s Graduates, Kentucky Society for Human Resources Management and Kentucky Department of Education are partnering participants in the Oct. 2 “Bus to Business” event.
