Charles Cotten LindseyUPDATE: BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (11/20/16 - 3 p.m.) — Charles W. "Cotton" Lindsey, 33, who was being sought for the murders of two people, discovered in a burnt vehicle in rural Butler Co., Nov.9, was found today by officers with the Bowling Green Police Dept.

Lindsey was found in Bowling Green and taken into custody without incident. He was then relinquished to detectives with the Kentucky State Police Post 3.

Lindsey was arrested and lodged in the Butler Co. Jail on a warrant charging him with murder.

The investigation is still ongoing and being led by Detective Graham Rutherford. No other details are available for release at this time.

UPDATE: ROUNDHILL, Ky. (11/18/16 - 8:20 p.m.) — Today around 3:45 p.m., Kentucky State Police Detectives arrested two people in connection to the double murder occurring in Butler Co., Nov. 9, where two bodies were discovered in a burnt vehicle on Region-Reedyville Rd. 

Arlexis Kawai, 22, of Bowling Green, and Helen Rone, 21, of Roundhill were arrested and lodged in the Warren Co. Regional Jail, where they were both charged with complicity to murder.

A warrant for murder has been obtained in connection to this investigation for Charles W. "Cotton" Lindsey, 33, of Roundhill, pictured to the right. Lindsey is 6' tall, around 200 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair.

Anyone with information to the whereabouts of Lindsey, or any further information in reference to this case, is asked to contact KSP Post 3 Bowling Green at (270)782-2010.

Lindsey is considered to be armed and dangerous. The investigation is still ongoing and being led by Detective Graham Rutherford. No other information is available for release at this time.

ORIGINAL STORY 

ROUNDHILL, Ky. (11/10/16) — The Kentucky State Police are investigating a vehicle fire in which two bodies were found.

According to a press release, KSP Post 3 was requested by the Butler County Sheriff’s Office to investigate a vehicle fire last night at around 5 p.m. in the 700 block of Region-Reedyville Rd. Two deceased bodies were later found inside the burning vehicle.

Due to information received from an autopsy, performed on both bodies, the investigation was conducted as a murder. The investigation is ongoing and being conducted by Detectives of KSP Post 3 Bowling Green.
