ORIGINAL STORY:

OHIO COUNTY, Ky. (8/9/17) — Authorities are on the look out for a man allegedly involved in a shooting in the Fordsville community of Ohio County. The man is considered armed and dangerous and caution is urged if anyone comes into contact with him.

Ohio County Sheriff Tracy Beatty released a photo of a man believed to have been involved in the shooting and is asking the public to be on watch for him.

According to Beatty, OCSO were summoned to Railroad Bed Road yesterday in Fordsville, where they found Travis Rippy with a gunshot wound. The Fordsville area constable assisted OCSO with performing first aid on Rippy. The injured man was transported by Ohio County EMS to meet with a medical helicopter that took him to Deaconess Trauma Unit in Evansville, Indiana.

Beside Rippy, deputies found an orange and purple athletic bag with two pipes inside containing what they believed was methamphetamine residue.

Beatty said Rippy advised that Harry Musgrave of Hancock County told Rippy he would take him to a specific location in Fordsville in his red Jeep Liberty. Rippy told Beatty that Musgrave and a second man, whom he did not know, took him to Railroad Bed Road, turned off the lights and pulled two handguns. The men told Rippy to step outside the vehicle, where he was then shot in the left thigh by Musgrave, Rippy advised.

Beatty said Musgrave is believed to be driving the newer model Jeep with license plate number 325WTH.

Anyone with information regarding Musgrave’s whereabouts is asked to call OCSO, Kentucky State Police or Hancock County Sheriff’s Office. KSP and HCSO also assisted in the investigation and OCSO was also assisted by Fordsville Fire Department at the scene.
