shrewsberry arrest taitOHIO COUNTY, Ky. (5/15/18) — A Muhlenberg County man went to jail in Ohio County after Ohio County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant at an Echols residence.

OCSO said deputies were advised a man with outstanding warrants was staying at the residence and would likely try to flee if made aware of deputies’ presence.

Deputies and Kentucky State Police went to the residence May 11 and found two people leaving in a vehicle. Police stopped the vehicle and found Dwayne Shrewsberry of Greenville and Savannah Tait of Beaver Dam inside. Police also located methamphetamine, syringes, pipes and marijuana.

Shrewsberry was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance/meth, drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, no operator’s license, driving on a DUI suspended license – first offense and possession of marijuana.

Tait was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance/meth and drug paraphernalia – buy/possess.

Shrewsberry, 36, is being held at the Ohio County Detention Center on a $5,000 cash bond. Tait was transported to the OCDC but is not listed on the inmate roster as of this publication.
