cece robinsonOHIO COUNTY, Ky. (5/16/18) — Ohio County Health Care’s CeCe Robinson was guest speaker for the May Chamber of Commerce luncheon meeting yesterday at the Ohio County Senior Center.

Robinson discussed the local hospital’s new name.

“The named of the Ohio County Hospital has been changed to Ohio County Health Care,” said Robinson. “The new name reflects expanded access to care. The hospital is still locally owned just as before. We just have a new name and new look.”

Robinson also updated the chamber on recent hospital census figures.

“In 2017, 99,552 patients were treated — ER 13,421, QuickCare 27,169, in-patient visits 905, hospital based services 45,991 and surgical procedures 5,153,” she said. “The hospital employs 450 people including 30 physicians. Dr. Hurley now has his office in Ohio County full time and has employed eight people.”

More changes are on the healthcare horizon as well, said Robinson.

“A new surgical center is in the works and will be built behind the hospital,” she said.

The chamber’s business spotlight this month is Likens Printing, 202 S. Main St., Hartford.
