arnold arrestsOHIO COUNTY, Ky. (7/9/18) — Four people were charged with trafficking meth, when police went to a Hartford residence Friday.

Ohio County Sheriff’s Office and Kentucky State Police went to 315 W. Union St. to serve a felony warrant on Peggy Arnold. OCSO said Arnold was home but would not open the door.

OCSO said officers made forcible entry into the residence and while clearing the home, located two men in the back bedroom. They also located a woman hiding behind the bathroom door with what appeared to be methamphetamine and a hypodermic needle lying on top the contents of the used toilet bowl.

Arnold was located in a spare bedroom under a hallowed-out piece of furniture, said police.

OCSO charged Charles Lee, 33 of Hartford, Norben Leisure, 31 of Utica, Rebekah Calloway, 39 of Beaver Dam and Arnold with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance/meth – first offense, first-degree possession of a controlled substance/meth – first offense, tampering with physical evidence, hindering prosecution and drug paraphernalia – buy/possess.

Calloway, Lee and Arnold were also charged on warrants. All were taken to Ohio County Detention Center. Leisure and Lee are both being held on $5,000 cash bonds; Calloway is being held on a total of $5,500 bonds; and, Arnold is no longer listed on the OCDC inmate roster.

Hartford Police Department also assisted OCSO.
