OCSO said investigators learned property that allegedly had been stolen was located at a residence in the 100 block of James Nacey Lane. A deputy located a stolen vehicle at the residence March 1 and then obtained a search warrant for the rest of the property.

During the search, OCSO detectives located additional items reported stolen, methamphetamine, prescription pills, counterfeit money, drug paraphernalia and cash, said police.

OCSO charged the property owner, 36-year-old Eddie Sutton, with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance/meth – first offense, first-degree possession of a controlled substance/meth – first offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sutton was transported to Ohio County Detention Center but is no longer listed on the inmate roster as of this publication.

OCSO said further investigation is expected to result in more charges. Hartford Police Department and Kentucky State Police also assisted with the search warrant.
