calderaHARTFORD, Ky. (6/19/19) — A Whitesville man faces multiple charges after allegedly running from the police after aiming a gun at several people and firing shots at a vehicle Sunday afternoon.

Ohio County Sheriff's Office said deputies was alerted at 2:18 p.m. of a man making threats with a firearm at a Kelly Cemetery Lane address. When deputies arrived they received reports of the man having aimed a pistol at several people at the residence but had left the scene in a black Ford 500 before deputies arrived.

When OCSO located the vehicle at 4:25 p.m. at Hunter Trailer Court in Hartford, the man fled the scene, said authorities.

OCSO, Kentucky State Police and Hartford and Beaver Dam city police departments attempted to stop the man on U.S. 231. KSP then deployed spike strips at the intersection of U.S. 231 and Pleasant Ridge Road, where the vehicle was disabled and the man taken into custody.

Alan Caldera, 27 of Whitesville was charged with speeding 26 MPH or greater than the limit, first-degree fleeing or evading police/motor vehicle, illegal possession of a legend drug, no operator's license, third-dgree terroristic threatening, improper passing, reckless driving, seven counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, two counts of criminal mischief, third-degree criminal trespassing, trafficking in a controlled substance/meth, possession of a controlled substance/meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Caldera is being held in the Ohio County Detention Center on a total of $10,500 cash bond.
