Madisonville North Hopkins MaroonsMAYFIELD, Ky. (5/15/19) — Winning away from its home field, Madisonville-North Hopkins downed host Graves County 4-2 in a high school baseball game on Tuesday.

With the win, Madisonville-North Hopkins improved to 18-12.

Graves County dropped to 16-14 with the loss.

Alex Gray earned the pitching win for the Maroons. Gray allowed eight hits and two runs over six innings, striking out six. Landon Cline threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen for the Maroons. Cline recorded the last three outs to claim the save.

Drew Montgomery took the pitching loss for the Eagles. Montgomery worked six innings, allowing three runs on five hits and striking out three.

Ethan Browning went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Madisonville-North Hopkins in the hits column.

Jordyn Naranjo, Conner Mills and Drew Cooper paced Graves County with two hits apiece.
