Madisonville North Hopkins MaroonsMADISONVILLE, Ky. (9/12/19) — After claiming three consecutive wins, Madisonville-North Hopkins will visit Christian County for a Week 4 matchup on Friday night.

Madisonville-North Hopkins is ranked third in the latest Kentucky Associated Press Class 4A High School Football Poll. 

The Maroons have notched wins over Union County, Marshall County and Daviess County in the first half of the 2019 high school football season. Madisonville-North Hopkins has outscored opponents 136-21.

Senior running back Jeriah Hightower is on pace to rush for over 2,000 yards in the regular-season and leads the Maroons offensively. Through three games, Hightower has rushed 63 times for 696 yards and nine touchdowns.

Quarterback Hayden Reynolds leads Madisonville-North Hopkins through the air. Reynolds has completed 30 of 60 passes for 456 yards and six touchdowns.

Deljuan Johnson paces Madisonville-North Hopkins in receiving. Johnson has hauled in 12 receptions for 331 yards and five touchdowns.

Defensively, Blake Moody leads Madisonville-North Hopkins with a team-high 24 tackles.

Christian County is off to an 0-3 start in the 2019 season. The Colonels have dropped games to Caldwell County, Christian Academy-Louisville and Henderson County. Opponents have outscored Christian County 81-28.

Quarterback Donta Abren leads the Colonels. Abren has completed 32 of 71 passes for 409 yards and one touchdown while throwing three interceptions.

Madisonville-North Hopkins held on to defeat Christian County 15-12 when the two teams met in 2018. 

Kickoff for the Madisonville-North Hopkins-Christian County football game is set for 7 p.m.
