Heather WebbTOLEDO, Ohio (10/14/19) — Former University of Toledo softball player Heather Webb has been named an NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete.

A pitcher, Webb starred at Madisonville-North Hopkins High School before taking the field for the University of Toledo softball team.

The Toledo softball team was recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) after posting a 3.53 grade-point average, the 31st-highest in Division I softball. Webb was one of 12 members of the Toledo softball team who were individually named Scholar-Athletes for their efforts off the diamond.

Across all divisions, more than 8,000 student-athletes were named 2019 NFCA Scholar-Athletes, the most in NFCA history. The NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honor recognizes teams that have achieved a grade-point average of 3.00 or higher. To be individually recognized, athletes must post a 3.5 GPA or higher.
