Hopkins County Central StormDIXON, Ky. (8/21/19) — Hopkins County Central returned to the win column on Tuesday, knocking off host Webster County 4-2 in an early-season girls' high school soccer match.

With the win, Hopkins County Central improved to 3-1.

Webster County dropped to 1-2 with the loss.

Lily Melton (two goals, one assist), Priya Holmes (one goal) and Katelyn Cavanaugh (one goal, three assists) combined to lead Hopkins County Central to the victory.

Defensively for Hopkins County Central, goalkeeper Kire Peyton recorded 12 saves while allowing only two goals.

Abbie Michalek and Marissa Austin scored one goal apiece for Webster County in the setback. Hope Shepard provided an assist on one of Webster County's two goals.
