bourland arrest WEBSTERPADUCAH, Ky. (2/12/16) — A Webster County man was charged with drug-related offenses after police say he set off a metal detector at courthouse security check point.

According to a McCracken County Sheriff's Department report, Kyle W. Bouland, 31, Providence, was stopped at a security check point after he set off a metal detector at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 11 at the McCracken County Courthouse.

The report said Deputy Dylan Cook spoke with Bouland and observed nervous behavior. After Cook conducted a weapons pat down, he felt what he immediately recognized as a glass smoking pipe in Bouland's pocket. After Bouland removed the pipe from his pocket, it was found to contain methamphetamine.

Bouland, who was out on bond from a Mayfield facility, was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance/meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He is being lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
