webster co schoolsWEBSTER COUNTY, Ky. (2/1/18) — Two Clay Elementary School students were injured after a school bus slid off Kentucky 493/West Elm Street about 3:30 p.m. today.

Superintendent Dr. Rachel Yarbrough said the back end of the bus slid into a tree off the road, and there were some minor injuries to students. Two children were transported by ambulance to a hospital as a precaution to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

“Those were the only injuries that we know of,” Yarbrough said. “Students that were on the bus were taken back safely to Clay elementary via a second bus, and all parents were notified to pick up students at the school.”

Yourbrough said the district is extremely fortunate there were no life-threatening injuries in the situation.
