old man winterWEBSTER COUNTY, Ky. (1/29/19) — Webster County Emergency Management Agency released a list of locations available for residents to warm up.

The Emergency Operations Center has been activated due to the extreme cold weather to assist those in need.

Listed below are warming locations available:

Webster County Library — 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Providence Library — 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Clay Community Center — 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Sebree City Hall — 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

Webster County Community Center in Dixon — Open 24 hours-4 p.m. Thursday

Webster County Senior Center in Dixon — 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Providence Community Center — 24 hours

Slaughters Fire Department — as needed

Poole Fire Department — as needed

Clay Fire Department — as needed

The NWS in Paducah forecasted wind chill temperatures will fall 10-20 degrees below zero through tonight. Warmer temperatures are expected to return by the end of the week.
