RAILROAD crossing 300WEBSTER COUNTY, Ky. (3/1/19) — CSX Railroad plans to close as section of U.S. 41, between Henderson and Sebree, immediately at the Henderson-Webster County line for rail crossing work starting Wednesday.

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Spokesman Keith Todd reported CSX will close the crossing, located at mile-marker .090 for rail upgrades 8 a.m. The road at this site is expected to remain closed until sometime during the day, Friday, March 8, with a marked detour via Interstate 69.

This rail crossing is along U.S. 41, between Donahoo Road in Webster County, and Kentucky 2097/Northern Star Way in Henderson County. The closure is about 3 miles north of the U.S. 41/Kentucky 56 intersection in Sebree, and just under 11 miles south of the U.S. 41/Kentucky 425 Henderson bypass intersection.

Todd reported commuters who work at nearby industries should be aware of this extended closure of U.S. 41 that starts Wednesday. He asks residents to make advance alternate travel plans. There will be a marked detour via I-69, which parallels this section of U.S. 41.
