kentucky trans yellow 300WEBSTER COUNTY, Ky. (4/1/19) — A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans an extended closure along Kentucky 1835 in Webster County starting today.

KYTC Spokesman Keith Todd reported Kentucky 1835 will be closed at milepoint 0.392 to allow construction of a new bridge over Sugar Camp Creek, which is situated along Kentucky 1835, between Kentucky 138 and 1405.

Kentucky 1835 is expected to remain closed at this site for approximately 45 days, state highway officials said. There will be no marked detour. Camry Contracting Inc. is the prime contractor on the $348,629 bridge replacement project.

This bridge replacement project is part of the Bridging Kentucky Program which seeks to replace or rehabilitate about 1,000 critical bridges across the commonwealth in two years. For more information go to www.bridgingkentucky.com.
