UWWESTERN Ky. (7/31/19) — United Way of the Coalfield announced the availability of approximately $20,000 in grant funds for youth and human service agencies serving Webster, Hopkins and Muhlenberg counties.

The grant application deadline is Aug. 23, UWCF reported. A committee of community volunteers will review each application and make funding recommendations.

This grant is made possible by the Heidi Badgett Fund, with a goal to maximize community resources through collaboration among agencies that serve basic health and educational needs of children ages birth-17 years and their families.

Funding priorities include grants that support projects, where agencies collaborate to address the stated need, seed money for innovative projects with matching funds, funding for ongoing programs that have matching funds and capital campaigns with match funding, if the maintenance plan for the project is shown.

Applications can be obtained by contacting UWCF director Don Howerton at 1 S. Main St., Madisonville, email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call (270) 821-3170.
