60 poundsMUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (6/20/18) — Authorities charged two men with trafficking in a large quantity of methamphetamine yesterday afternoon in the Graham area. A multi-agency investigation then led police on a trail from Graham to Hopkinsville, where they found more meth, and ended in Clarksville, Tennessee, where police located approximately 58 pounds of meth in one man’s storage locker.

Officers with the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force charged 45-year-old James M. Castile and 46-year-old Stan L. Crunk, both of Hopkinsville, with trafficking in meth more than 2 grams. Police stopped the two men in Graham, where the Muhlenberg County Sheriff K-9 unit alerted on the vehicle, said PNTF.

Police said a vehicle search revealed approximately 225 grams of meth and several thousand in cash.

PNTF, officers with the Drug Enforcement Agency, Christian County Sheriff's Office and McCracken County Sheriff’s Department obtained a search warrant for Castile’s Hopkinsville residence, where authorities uncovered more than 500 grams of crystal meth. They also discovered drug paraphernalia and marijuana at the residence. Information found at Castile’s home led police to a Clarksville storage unit.

PNTF said officers contacted the 19th Judicial Task Force, which obtained a search warrant for the storage unit. There, officers discovered 58 pounds of crystal meth and several thousand in cash. More charges are expected to be filed against Castile.

PNTF Detective Troy Gibson said 60 pounds of crystal meth has an estimated street value of $2.6 million.
