PROVIDENCE, Ky. – Larry Gene Turner, 64, of Providence, Ky. went to meet his earthly father, George Jewell Turner in heaven on Sunday, December 7, 2014. Larry was a decorated Vietnam War Veteran and a member of the Dixon General Baptist Church in Dixon, Ky. Larry loved working crosswords, doing puzzles, watching Jeopardy(knowing most of the answers) and fishing.

He is survived by his mother, Rosielee Whitford of Dixon, Ky.; his son, George (Kimberly) Turner of Dixon, Ky.; his sister, Angie (Kenn) Boram of Eddyville, Ky.; three aunts, Carolyn (Bruce) Floyd, Gladys Burklow and Virginia Turner; one niece, Kim (Brandon) Shoulders; great-nephews Jackson and Brady Shoulders; ten living cousins, with two of them Teresa Thompson and husband Willie and Mary Beth Turner and fiancé Leon Miller helping in his care.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday December 10 at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Dixon, Ky. Bro. Paul Ware will officiate. The Hopkins County Honor Guard will perform Military services at the graveside.

Townsend Funeral Home of Dixon, Ky. is in charge of arrangements.
